The first of many fliers to come to publicize the national demonstrations scheduled in D.C. this fall. I whipped out this boring and rather boilerplate-like flier to pass out at the meeting tonight. 500 people went to Joan of Arc church to hear local Iraqi-American Sami Rasouli talk about his experiences in Iraq these past few months. It was a fabulous turnout and a heartfelt talk by Sami. We placed one of these fliers on every chair along with the June 30 fliers. The word is getting out and we are experiencing a sense of renewal in the antiwar movement. General public opinion is turning against the war and various U.S. politicians are demanding a timetable for troop withdrawal. We are definitely living in interesting times.
