Wanna read Capital?

A hearty welcome to commenter Jack Stephens who carries on the tradition of bashing Kyle Payne.

He is among a group of people who are reading Karl Marx's "Das Kapital" together.

I must admit, I am a bit inspired. Could this be my chance to make it through the entire volume?

Hey bro, thanks for the nod. I really recommend reading Capital along with Dr. Harve's lectures. Even if you don't totally get what your reading (and the intro lecture will help) the lectures will make you understand and you'll eventually be able to grasp some of the more difficult concepts.

This last year I went through Volumes 1, 2, and 3 in order. Volume 2 is brutal, but it's understandable -- Marx hadn't finished editing volumes 2 & 3 before he died, so they aren't as tightly argued or organized as Volume 1.

And yes, David Harvey is great.
